(May 18, 1868 - July 17, 1918)
Nicholas II or Nikolai II was the last reigning czar of the
Russian Empire. Nicholas II became czar in 1896 when his
father, Alexander III, passed away from kidney inflammation
Nicholas II's reign in the Russian empire would been horrible
due to his responsibilities as czar and the people of Russia
were fed up. The events unfolding the backlash of Nicholas
II include the Russian Revolution of 1905, the Russo-Japanese
War, Bloody Sunday, World War I, and the Second Russian
Revolution of 1917. Nicholas II and his family would tragically
died on July 17, 1918, ending the imperial rule of the Russian empire.

October Revolution

Russian Civil War
After the execution of Nicholas II and his family,
a civil war broke out which resulted in the reds
winning the war and established a new nation,
the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R).
