(October 13, 1925 - April 8, 2013)
Margaret Thatcher was a British politician serving as a
leader of the Conservative Party. From the late 70s
through the early 90s, Thatcher became the Prime
Minister of Great Britain. During Thatcher's time as
Prime Minister, her agenda reshaped the nation into
becoming a world power. This idea would be introduced
as Thatcherism, an ideology of transforming Great Britain
into a world power nation. In addition, Margaret Thatcher
helped support U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Vice
President George H.W. Bush to end the Cold War with the
Soviet Union, which helped bring peace and freedom in
the early 1990s.
