EMMANUEL MACRON

Emmanuel Macron is the current president of France.

Before Macron became president, he served as

Minister of Economics, Industry, and Digital Affairs

under then-president François Hollande between

2014-16. Macron is part of the Renaissance party,

which described itself as a liberal and centrist or

centre-right. In 2016, Macron declared his run for the

presidency of France. On April 23, 2017, the first round

of the presidential election would be held with Macron

winning. Eventually Macron would win the second

round of the French election on May 7, 2017, securing

his presidency for France. Macron and the Resistance

party members would be on top of France's politics in

the name of freedom and democracy.
